HIGHLIGHTS (MLax): Five-goal first spurs Bowdoin past Trinity 9-5

A first quarter five-goal run propelled the Bowdoin men’s lacrosse to a 9-5 victory over Trinity Saturday afternoon.  The Polar Bears opened up the scoring tallying the first five scores of the otherwise even contest.

Conor O’Toole led the charge on the score sheet netting two goals and dishing out two helpers. Franklin Reis added his team-leading 19th and 20th goals of the season. The senior attackman has scored in every game this season after finding the back of the net in every contest during the 2013 season.

Connor Laughlin was fantastic in cage stopping 13-of-18 Bantam shots. The junior netminder improves to 7-2 on the season.

HIGHLIGHTS (MLax): Bowdoin dominates Norwich 18-4

The Bowdoin men’s lacrosse team improved to 4-1 on the season after a dominating 18-4 victory over Norwich Tuesday evening. Franklin Reis led the way for the Polar Bears with four man-up goals. As a team, Bowdoin was 9-for-9 on the man-up as the Polar Bears cruised to victory.

WIH: Bowdoin knocks off Wesleyan 2-1 in NESCAC quarterfinals

The Bowdoin College women’s ice hockey team downed the Cardinals of Wesleyan 2-1 Saturday afternoon to advance to the semifinals of the NESCAC playoffs.

The Polar Bears are looking for their second consecutive NESCAC tournament championship. Fourth-seeded Bowdoin will take on the seventh seed Colby March 8 at 4 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS (MLax): Bowdoin takes down Williams 11-6

The Bowdoin College Polar Bears opened its 2014 men’s lacrosse season with a 11-6 victory over NESCAC rival Williams College. For Bowdoin, it the fifth consecutive victory over Williams. The Polar Bears improve to 1-0 on the year and in conference, while the Ephs start the season 0-1 overall and in the NESCAC.
