The Bowdoin College women’s ice hockey team downed the Cardinals of Wesleyan 2-1 Saturday afternoon to advance to the semifinals of the NESCAC playoffs.
The Polar Bears are looking for their second consecutive NESCAC tournament championship. Fourth-seeded Bowdoin will take on the seventh seed Colby March 8 at 4 p.m.

The Chesapeake Bayhawks captured their second consecutive Steinfeld Cup after defeating the Charlotte Hounds 10-9 in the 2013 Major League Lacrosse Championship game Aug. 25, 2013.
